Privacy Policy

The promise, up front. Your life map is yours. We do not
sell your information, we do not show you ads, we do not use your content
to train AI models, and we cannot read what is encrypted under your
account's keys except as needed to operate the service for you.
What we collect
- Account data — your email, username, a password (stored only
as a hash), and plan status. Payments are handled by our payment
processor; we do not store card numbers.
- Your content — the life map you build: events, dates,
narratives, people, images. You choose what goes in it. It may include
information about your health and other sensitive parts of your life —
that is the product's purpose — and it is protected accordingly.
- Usage and diagnostics — counts, timings, feature usage and
error categories, so we can operate and improve the service. Never the
content of your map.
What we use it for
Operating and securing the service; providing the features you
ask for, including optional AI features; answering support you request;
billing; and meeting legal obligations. Not for advertising, sale,
profiling for third parties, or training AI models.
Who receives it
Service providers who host and deliver the service under
contract; an AI provider only when you use an AI feature; and authorities
where the law genuinely requires it — in which case we tell you unless we
are legally forbidden. If the business ever changes hands, your data moves
under these same commitments, with notice.
Health information
Some of what you record may be sensitive health information
under laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar state
provisions. We collect it only with your consent and only to provide the
service you asked for; we never sell it; we do not share it beyond what is
described above; and you keep the rights below, including deletion.
AI features
AI features are off until you turn them on. Before the first
time anything is sent, we show you exactly which limited fields will go and
to which provider, and we record your consent. You can withdraw it in
Settings at any time. Our providers are contractually barred from using
your data to train their models.
Your rights
You can access, correct, and export your data at any time in
open formats; delete it (which destroys your account's encryption keys and
is permanent); withdraw consent; and complain to your state authority. Use
the controls in Settings, or write to
privacy@lifemapstudio.app. We
respond within the time the law allows and never penalise you for
exercising a right.
How long we keep it
For as long as you keep your account. When you delete an
account the keys are destroyed immediately, and residual encrypted
fragments and backups age out within about 35 days. A lapsed subscription
reverts to the free edition; your content is not deleted for non-payment.
How it is secured
Field-level encryption with per-account keys, encryption in
transit, access controls, and audit logging, with a defined incident-response
procedure. No online service can promise perfection; we promise honesty — if
an incident affects you, we will tell you what happened and what we are
doing, as the law requires and sooner where we can.
Children
Life Map Studio is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not
knowingly collect children's data, and we delete it if we find it.

If we make a material change we will give notice, version the
